Many times as a child we would get wounded and tell out mother about it. But we would not be able to tell the exact place when asked. But pain killers on the other hand know exactly where it hurts.
But how?
We eat medicines, they get in our stomach and it starts to get dissolved and the chemicals in it get absorbed by the cells in the stomach wall.
We eat medicines, they get in our stomach and it starts to get dissolved and the chemicals in it get absorbed by the cells in the stomach wall.
Now the chemicals enter the blood stream and it does not know where it hurts in our body. It goes where it gets the reaction of pain and starts to do it’s magic and starts to search for another place. This goes on until the chemicals do not run out.
How does it recognize the pain?
Our memory power can be compared to central office. Communication tower receive a lot of signals among which some inform about being busy. And these signals are recognized as pain by our brain which are different from other signals.
There are different treatments to lessen the pain like stopping the signal, creating a disturbance in the signal. When these do not work, the central office can make the head faint.
Different pain killers also work in the same way. There are pain killer which work with signal waves with out affecting the memory power, some do not allow signals to reach the brain, and others do not allow brain to take the signals. Many doctors take the help of anesthetics when these do not work which make people faint or makes body parts numb.
So, actually pain killer does not lessen pain, rather it searches for the signals of pain and blocks it, destroys it or disturbed it. So, some pain killers can result in dizziness, and getting high.
